VZW De Pastorie Helchteren is a citizens' collective that strives to strengthen social cohesion and liveability in the village by offering a meeting place where connection, relaxation and encounter are central.
In 2025, the old Rectory of Helchteren will be renovated and given a second life as a meeting place and 'greenhouse' for private initiatives!

Our Story
The living rooms of Helchteren
As a group of citizens of Helchteren, we are working within the rectory on a meeting place in the old rectory and the large green rectory garden surrounding it.
The idea is to create a space here where people can meet and try out new things.
The building will consist of several larger and smaller spaces after the RENOVATION. Let's say:
the 'living rooms of Helchteren'.
The rectory will become a place where people can develop their own ideas and projects, with the aim of encouraging villagers to organise things for the community.
We want to create a place where young children, families, young people, the elderly and everyone in between can feel addressed.
We will also organize a series of activities ourselves
provide a place for others to roll up their sleeves!

Upcoming activities
